Go the island

RED LINE

With a surface of 32.000 m2 and 48 meters of height above sea level, the Island of Santa Clara is a small paradise located within a few minutes by motorboat from the port of Donostia.

About the trip

The tour on this line to the island is fast ( less than 10 min.), comfortable and above all fun. To do this trip we have a fleet of various boats that operate throughout the summer.

What to do on the island…

Go for a walk, enjoy the views, take a dip, have a bite to eat, explore, take a drink…

Despite its steep and rugged terrain, it is easy to walk thanks to its countless stairways and trails created specifically so that the visitor can explore all its corners easily.

From its balconies and viewpoints the visitor will be able to admire the Concha Bay, the hills that surround it (Urgull and Igeldo) and its cliffs. Wonderful sensations that can be enjoyed by sitting comfortably on one of the benches placed there.

On the left hand side of the pier, facing La Concha, there is a small and cosy beach that can be enjoyed when there is low tide and as natural swimming pool with high tide.

There are picnic areas all over the island. Choose your table and enjoy a bite to eat in the midday shade or in the evening sun.

At the top of the island the visitor will see the lighthouse (created in 1864), the only construction in the island. This building now houses the work “Hondalea” by the San Sebastian artist Cristina Iglesias. A space for reflecting here water flows with a rhythm inspired on tidal changes and strength of waves in coastal cavities. To visit the work, visit the website http://hondalea.eus

From this point the visitor will be able to take in a privileged sight of the city of San Sebastian.

There is also a bar with a terrace on the island where any type of drinks and snacks are available.
